Question about the Ikea Metod hanging rail

I am uploading two more photos. Does the plate from Ikea fulfill its function even though it is bent? Does the rusty plate (not from Ikea) fulfill the same function?

All good, the washer fulfills the same task as the plate, and the rail is hanging the right way around

Yes, that the rail is luckily hanging the right way round I already thought.
You have written several times that you would not use countersunk screws. Does that have functional reasons or does it just look unsightly?
Same question with the different length of the screws.
