No, I don’t do that

I don’t know about that. But then extension cords and cable reels would also be critical. And they even come with TÜV and VDE seals. True, but mine manage with my low loads. Don’t hurt yourself!

But honestly, when it comes to a new build, I would definitely invest a bit more in trades that can't be expanded later on, right? I'm totally fed up with multiple sockets. Especially the ones behind the TV sideboard. That thing collects dust like nothing else, plus with a new build I want to take a step forward in terms of comfort and safety. I can only agree with Elektro1 that most multiple sockets are cheap Chinese products and questionable in terms of safety.

And: it's not actually about plastering them everywhere. You should approach it with brains and common sense. I think that's the crux of the matter, that many builders only think about this topic too late and then usually make unconsidered decisions in a hurry. The result: either too many unnecessary sockets have been installed, which cost a lot of money but create no added value, or there are sockets missing everywhere and you regret not having put more thought into it...

As many as necessary and as few as possible is the motto here, I think...

Thanks again for the extensive feedback.

I have now also received the prices for additional sockets etc.:

1 single socket 25 €
1 double socket 38 €
1 triple socket 53 €
1 heat outlet (wall or ceiling) 35 €
all prices including VAT.

Seems fair to me. We now need to sit down calmly and plan.

Masipulami, I found a great user manual for laypeople on how to approach planning on the internet... If you are interested, then send me a PM with your email address. I will send you the document.
