Good morning everyone,

I have the following problem. Between the house and the garage, I had a duct pipe with DN 100 installed.

In this pipe, there is already a 5*16 cable, a double network cable, and a coaxial cable. The electrician who installed it back then also pulled a pulling wire through it.

Now we wanted to pull through another cable (doorbell) over the weekend, but the pulling wire seems to be stuck somewhere, so we can't get through from either side.

How can I get my cable through there now? There should still be enough space.

Thanks for your help. Attached is a picture

Can you free the pull wire again by moving it back and forth? Probably the cables are just crossed, causing the wire to jam. There is still enough space in the empty conduit. If that doesn’t work, try to introduce a new wire using a cable pulling aid. To then pull the cable through, (a lot of!) "Glubschi," as I call the cable lubricant, is very helpful. But be sure to have old towels, etc., ready right away so you can grip the cable while pulling.

Yes, we can move the train wire back and forth. We have already managed it from both directions over several meters. But then it suddenly stops and doesn’t move another centimeter. I will try to insert a new wire soon.

Thank you and regards

Can the other cables still be moved back and forth a bit? Maybe then the pull wire will be free again?

We have now tried again with force. And lo and behold, we were able to pull through two feeding wires attached to each other. It does not go any further for about 2.6m towards the garage. I have now ordered an endoscope camera. Then I can take a look at where it is stuck.

Regards

How long is the pipe? Do you have a pull-in aid so that you don't have to use the wires? Presumably, the cables are lying on top of each other and therefore "block" the pulling in. From 10 meters onwards, it also gets really exhausting. Important, as already written by , to use plenty of lubricant.
