I'm sorry! We have 2 children and therefore want to make it as "fair" as possible, meaning rooms that are as identical as possible. On the ground floor, we are still open, although we currently live in an apartment that has a very large, open living/dining area - we actually like that quite a bit. I know houseboats a bit; often the bunks are narrow on the outside and the galley is central in the salon. Did you have something like that in mind?

No, I was thinking more of the corridors on the outside.
But whatever, I have my boat and yours should be yours. I just think that one should get out of the drawer-thinking before planning.
