Are you sure there was no defect in the system? The flushing water of the system basically runs out to the drain, after all, it is wastewater. Even when the brine tank is being filled and the sight glass valve stops because of a power outage: the brine tank also has an overflow to the wastewater connection.
And how does it work then, without power?
Sounds somehow strange...
And where does the drain run to?
In our case, into the lifting station, but that also only works with power.
So the system flushes, but the lifting station does not transport away, and without power, the Judo can no longer stop the flushing process...
We have now retrofitted something that detects whether there is an abnormally high water consumption in the house and measures in the basement on the floor whether there is water, and then simply mechanically closes the water line.
But don’t ask me exactly what kind of thing that is, it was also 5 years ago... and I remember that the next higher Judo already integrated this function.
Maybe this would also be a solution for the OP to install such a monitor.
