Property duplex new build - which side to choose

No, we found the property together. Therefore, there is no first right of choice. Somehow we have to come to an agreement. We only have a few requirements for the house (costly) that are not so important to the building partners. We are just considering whether it is worth giving up the "Sonnenseite".

I'll put it this way:

- we didn't have this problem back then - we were actually the second and therefore got the North House, which annoyed us quite a bit at the time...
- however, due to the summer weather patterns that have been prevalent for several years now, the now unfortunately sole resident of the southern half has clearly expressed that she would rather swap with us sooner rather than later...

... there's always something...

You will be able to live well on both halves; given the free choice, I would choose the south. The idea of declaring the choice of the northern plot as a "concession" and thereby obtaining a compromise elsewhere is pragmatic and purposeful.

I am also in favor of rolling the dice. Ultimately, one must be aware that after the decision there will be no loser, but two winners.

Isn't the garage on the ground floor in the south? And if it is not your own, then the neighbor's? I really find the 2 halves quite equal and would also roll the dice.
