Hello, I am currently working on building my terrace. A WPC decking is planned. First, the edges need to be set. How would you create the slope according to the attached sketch? Thanks for your feedback.
WPC normally on substructure on what kind of floor? Decking boards (whether WPC or wood), where water can drain underneath, I always lay level. No slope of the terrace - is also not necessary, unless you want to close the gaps between the boards as well.
The ground is compacted with a mineral mix and then normal pedestals and then the WPC decking. But without a slope? The manufacturers and everyone always say that there should also be a slope there.
Pedestal supports are used precisely to keep the surface of the terrace level. Water then flows through the gaps onto the substrate of the pedestal supports. This substrate should have a slope ... in your case away from the house ..
Thank you for your contributions. I would still create a slope as a precaution and because the manufacturers also recommend it. Therefore, I am rather asking myself how to represent the slope and the heights. Side A has a length of 3m = 6cm difference, side D 1.5m = 3cm difference. Then the difference of 3cm on side C would have to be overcome. But doesn't that look strange, especially because of the steps placed in front, if side C is slanted?
We have a similar terrace with WPC, closed deck, as a barefoot floor. I wouldn’t manage the slope C, you need the corner to walk around the table when many people are there. Between the terrace doors there is a level difference of about 2cm, that only works with a threshold.
