I registered here because I (apart from an email to Ikea, which has not been answered) don’t know who else can help me.

I have a problem with the doors of my Bestå cabinet wall.

This problem did not exist at first, but the wall on which the cabinets are mounted was renovated by the landlord; after I reattached the cabinets, unfortunately they no longer close as before.

Actually, the doors are supposed to be braked by the hinge just before closing (about 5 cm) when you slam them shut, and then slowly glide closed.

Unfortunately, the doors now get stuck and only close when you push them shut by hand.

I have already tried everything possible with the adjustment screws, but unfortunately nothing has helped yet.

The cabinets are level.

What else can I do?

Thank you and best regards,

Felix

How is the gap between the body and the door on the hinge side? It might help to adjust the door slightly outward here if it fits too tightly.

Thanks already for your tips, but unfortunately none of that was the case, or I couldn't find any error there. But, I found the solution!!!

If you look at the hinge from the inside, you see a gray "plastic wing" that slows down the hinge when the door closes (sounds a bit crazy now, but anyone sitting in front of it will understand what I mean). The starting position of this must be readjusted (basically the resistance of the closing mechanism). Right next to it is a small slider (also made of gray plastic), with which you can "disengage" the plastic wing, making it freely movable. Now press the wing with a finger into the desired zero position (if the door closes poorly, then further outward; if it closes too quickly, then further inward), hold it there and push the slider back to "save" the position.

I hope this helps others, as I couldn't find it in any manual and also found nothing about it on the internet.
