Problem with sink & size VARIERA frame for waste sorting system

that's what I thought too - the entire kitchen assembly including the connection of water and electricity has at least taught me that next time I will rely more on my intuition than on the judgment of a "professional" plumber.

Thanks for the motivating words - I will get it assembled, the main thing is that the thing stays tight. I will report back.

The Lillviken siphon also causes me problems with tightness. After installation, I had to tighten these screws (they have the domsjö double sink) between the drain pot and the upper part in the basin two or three times. They could be tightened again, but after a few days they loosened again. Let’s see how it behaves over the next period; I will keep checking it from time to time... Or does someone perhaps know how to make it permanently tight? Otherwise, I find this solution with the trash and the additional short inner drawer for e.g. dishwashing utensils very nice and space-saving.

I would try with Fermit.

as expected: the new / old IKEA siphon was installed within 30 minutes and is completely tight. And the drawer fits including the waste system - a dream. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to do without that.
