Normally, it would be between three and five percent. I actually see that with my customers who calculated at the end of 2018 and are now going into contract awarding (but these are "large buyers," as the construction volume is €10 million and up).

Well, he has to factor in the changes you requested. Is it a developer or a general contractor?! Ultimately, you can make him a counteroffer or keep looking.

Each offer by itself has a certain validity - it is usually stated at the bottom: "...we hold ourselves bound for x weeks."

Therefore, either talk to your construction company - sometimes the quotation programs automatically apply such prices because there was a periodic increase. I consider that rather unlikely at 10%.

He is probably fed up with you - to put it bluntly.

From my neighbor I know that, for example, Team Massivhaus also raised all catalog prices by almost 8% in August 2018. That’s why they signed in July. Either clever pressure or the 10% are not completely unreasonable. Just really annoying though

And exactly because of such schemes, I find the big companies in the industry simply impossible. But this is not only the case in construction - the furniture makers do it too. They try to sell you an upcoming price increase as a discount and additionally put pressure on you.

Therefore, I am a fan of the local [GU] and furniture studio. There you feel only a little „cheated“ and not completely.
