Hello.
We are currently considering whether to entrust the complete tiling work of our new building to the contractor. In his offer, he writes that he estimates 83 euros/m2 for the installation of formats 30x60, 60x60, and 80x80 including grouting and base tiles. The price for the tiles to be selected by us later will be added on top. Is this a fair offer that we should accept? Do you have any experience with this?
Best regards
Peter

It seems quite expensive to me at first, if I remember correctly our tiler (who is already considered "expensive," but delivers perfect work) charged between 70-80€ per m². However, that included materials and the tiles were about 30€ per m² in online retail. But well, regional differences also play a role, still it seems rather expensive to me, especially for the standard formats, particularly 30x30.

I find the price for a good tiler who does everything officially and invoiced certainly not cheap but currently "market standard."

We were offered 110€ per sqm - including tiles up to 35€/sqm that is also 75€/sqm labor cost.

I also find it clearly too expensive. I don't know exactly what we paid per m², as I don't currently know the wall surfaces. But it can't have been anywhere near 80€. More likely in the range of 50-60 euros (we supplied the tiles ourselves). The tiles were laid by 2 master tilers + 1 journeyman tiler + 1 helper. The work was done 1 year ago. approx. 35 m² of 60*120 tiles approx. 100 m² of 20*120 tiles

I agree: clearly too expensive! I don't have the exact price in mind right now, but our tiles were consistently not on special offer. Partly mosaics, 60x60 and hexagonal tiles, and the installation was cheaper! And everything was completely regular on invoice and done by a good tiler!

we paid 30 € /m², grout and adhesive came from the tiler, we bought the tiles (15x90) on invoice of course
