After the price for a stainless steel glass railing almost knocked me off my chair, I wanted to ask here how much a frameless glass railing costs... because maybe I don’t even need to inquire about it.

The railing is supposed to be for a straight staircase from the ground floor to the upper floor, starting at the concrete stairs and going up to the ceiling. At the top, there is a masonry parapet.

I made a sketch, see attachment.
It can also be 2 or 3 panels, it doesn’t have to be made from one piece.

How much does something like this cost approximately??

I can’t tell you anything about your glass, but I once saw another cool idea:

------------------------

I had to delete the picture as well as the link. On the site where the picture comes from, it says:

"the copyright of all image materials lies exclusively with Quadrat 45°. Unauthorized use of the internet presence in all media – even in excerpts – is not permitted without the express prior written permission of Quadrat 45°."

Hello,

Basically, in my opinion, you can assume that the glass has to be made as laminated safety glass or so-called TRAV glazing (fall protection glazing). In your first inquiry, the costs for stainless steel were rather negligible; stainless steel currently does not cost the world anymore.

I recently had an inquiry for the glazing of a roof terrace railing; in NRW the charge was around €600.00 per running meter including installation. At 23.00 running meters, the builders then waived this nice to have.

Oh damn. Sorry, construction expert!

I posted a picture showing the railing made from a climbing rope. That means the rope was threaded through eyelets and serves as a railing. I have also seen it in real life, and it looks really cool.
You can find it by entering the keywords "Quadrat 45 burglengenfeld" and clicking on the first link.

So for a stainless steel/glass railing we currently have an offer of 4500€.
"Sirius 2W Spezial" from a Neumarkt staircase company.
However, this does not only go up to the ceiling, but all the way to the top.

3m at 600€ for all-glass I would find okay now.

Although Wildthing's idea is also cool.. I would take steel cable though otherwise.
That could definitely be realized for well under 1,000€, especially because you can also do it yourself.

Greetings to Regensburg, studied info there, great city.. But extreme shortage of building plots as I hear..
