Dear forum members,

our house seller has recommended an empty conduit from the HAR to the attic in order to later pull a cable for photovoltaics through it.
This empty conduit runs on the upper floor right next to the bathroom window, alongside other pipes such as the heating exhaust, so it will be a larger pre-wall installation. I just wonder if it looks good when the pre-wall comes (almost) up to the window opening or if it would be better to do without the empty conduit. That would provide 20 cm more space to the exhaust pipe.
Attached is the construction drawing.

Thank you in advance.

I would rather worry about how the tiles behave that possibly go around the corner into the window area. Then I’d just pull the thing all the way to the window jamb to have a flat surface and not constantly have to patch it up. I really looked at the floor plan for a few minutes and desperately tried to figure out what kind of strange "ventilation thing" is supposed to be in the bedroom. Then it dawned on me – that was the zigzag bar with the chimney in the middle of the room. So this is the result. Mh. *liebernüschtsag*

The wall doesn't work anyway, where should the washbasins go with 12.5cm of water and wastewater? So this has to be changed anyway and the shaft can then be integrated into the wall. For photovoltaics, by the way, a 32 or at most 40mm conduit is needed, which can just be laid into any wall, no corner or shaft is needed.

It is a matter of technology and dimension. We have planned a 100 conduit for photovoltaics and it should not be much less. With a 40 conduit we wouldn’t stand a chance. The alternative is not "there or not at all". You can also lay the cables in there right away or find another location.

I also thought about extending it straight to the window. At least that way there is a reasonable edge.

I'm actually quite satisfied with the bedroom, the door hits that spot anyway and next to it there is enough space for a long wardrobe. The stove fitter was quite enthusiastic about the "niche" in the living room for the chimney/fireplace, so the stove doesn't protrude far into the room and the resulting "built-in shelf" probably looks good too.

You mean the wall with the washbasins now? I suppose a pre-wall installation will be added there if necessary, for water supply and drainage. It’s just not shown on the plan.

Of course, the conduit also has to work from the HAR in the ground floor, maybe there is still another position for that.
