Hello everyone,
we are considering buying a used bungalow as a prefabricated house from 1978. According to the building description, the wall structure is different from anything I have read so far about prefabricated houses: From the outside: 1cm clinker facing / 13cm lightweight concrete LBn 150 (Berwilit or similar) / 5cm styrofoam / 5cm lightweight concrete (Leca or similar). The K-value: 0.5.
Actually, that sounds quite solid to me and avoids the usual problems that are often heard about with old prefabricated houses with timber frame construction. But I have never heard of this wall structure with concrete parts and cannot find any experience reports either.
Does anyone here in the area have such a house and can share their experiences with the construction method? I am interested in all information, durability, problems, renovation or subsequent insulation, are there still providers who build like this today, etc.
Thank you very much
Frank
