That's exactly the catch. They fulfill their part of the contract by presenting you with a property. But you don't like it. Then you're like a dead fish on the hook, since you are responsible for the rejection.

Now I’m going to ask a few heretical questions, ypg...

What do you think the job of a salesperson is, if not to call potential customers who have previously ordered catalogs and thereby signaled interest? If YOU don’t want to be called, then simply don’t leave any contact details and don’t order catalogs, but YOU probably wanted them to get information. Equally legitimate is that a company that sent you catalogs also inquires once about how serious your interest really is...

And do you seriously believe that I, who am a salesperson myself, will name you a plot over the phone without finding out whether you are seriously considering building on THIS plot with me or the company I represent??? If I didn’t do that, I might as well pass on a plot for which I have exclusive marketing rights to my competitors and forgo a sale, so what interest would I have in naming it to YOU without knowing whether we will actually build together?

No offense, but SOMETIMES I just have to shake my head at prospective builders and their views...

Best regards

Hello Beitrag,
and now I ask you, what in my statement contains an evaluation in this regard?????

I spoke of a fact and did not write that it was uncomfortable for me.
When I told a BU that I unfortunately did not have a plot yet, I was called unsolicited when they had one available again.
I did not write that I found it in any way impossible.

Besides, this is not about the way a salesperson or a BU sells their houses, but about the marketing that there is an automatic process to get a plot through this home provider even without a construction contract. That’s all great!

I believe : You wanted to really get upset today and just put something negative into my writing.

Hello Yvonne,

how else, please, am I supposed to understand the phrase "called unsolicited" if not negatively???

And NO, I did not want to "really get upset" today, but rather point out what I see as the thoughtlessness of many prospective homeowners who order catalogs and like to take advantage of this information, but as a RESULT have no understanding that a salesperson of the catalog-sending company also CALLS to ask what exactly has come of the building intention...

Unfortunately, here a slogan is all too gladly repeated and my profession is cast in a negative light, and you should please forgive me for simply representing the view from the OTHER side of the fence – it was expressly not meant maliciously and I also did not take your remark about it maliciously – nevertheless, I certainly wanted to speak up for those who then in turn also call – UNINVITED rather not, since interest was clearly expressed by ordering the catalog and leaving the phone number.

At the same time, of course, I also know the "usual suspects" in our industry who constantly try to sell some internet plots as THEIR own proposals by phone and then cannot sell them afterward because they do not have a sales mandate for them – but I expressly DO NOT count myself among THEM.

Hope this helped to clarify and have a nice evening

...just AS IT IS written

In my case, I ordered some catalogs via IS24 at the beginning. That’s how I came into the database at the BUs, and some salespeople simply did their job – namely, they called me, the interested party.

You don’t need to lump me together with any of those "only I have MY right" citizens; I have my own client base in the real estate industry and have to do my own acquisition.

Now I wish you a nice and successful football evening.

If you are contacted by a company from which you requested a catalog, I find that completely normal and okay. What I do find outrageous is when this company, after not securing the deal, sells the contact details to numerous craft businesses and then you get called several times a day for weeks.

Regarding the actual topic: I would never sign a contract if I don’t know beforehand whether the plots are any good. The most important thing about a house is still the location. If a seller does not acknowledge that, then it just won’t work out with us...
