With the (mis)judgment of only being stuck on a small issue, you are not the first here and certainly won't be the last ;-) What is the shower on the living floor supposed to be good for? The child's desk (or lady's desk for love letters?) in the office also irritates me a little :-) Realistic furniture changes everything.

Presumably to have a second shower in the house. I keep reading here that the point of a second shower is being questioned... honestly, I don't understand that at all. Especially when you have children who are eventually going through puberty or regularly bring their partner home, etc., it is very practical not to have to guess every time who is going to shower when.

Not from me; I only put a question mark next to the location in the guest WC next to the front door. Showers, for me, do not belong at the far end of the world, where the coming and going of a house viewing takes place, but preferably near the chambers. I shower before dressing or changing, but not when I'm bringing in the rolls or the mail.

Hello,
We also have a shower on the ground floor and I would always do it that way again. The shower is used often here.

It does not bother at all that the wardrobe is on a different level.

Best regards

What would bother me most is that I need everything twice, shower towels upstairs and downstairs, shampoos, facial care, deodorant, hairdryer, etc. etc. etc.... (or rather all 4 people with their individual care products need their stuff downstairs) I prefer 2 bathrooms upstairs, firmly assigned, parents’ and children’s bathroom and that’s it. Waiting for one more person there is no problem, but if four pile up upstairs all wanting to shower, there will be arguments about who has to go downstairs. No thanks.

We even have 3 showers, as we also have one in the basement. All are equipped with shower gel etc., but we don't have a different one for everyone; there are boys and girls, we are not like that.

It is practical that the kids use the shower on the ground floor when they come home from swimming or being outside and shower before eating.

The towel is wrapped around and then they go upstairs to get dressed.

Not so many mail carriers etc. sit in our kitchen.

Everyone has to consider for themselves what is practical. I did not want a children's bathroom upstairs. When the kids are grown, it is a useless room.

There are no universal truths.

I prefer option 2, although I think option 1 is better as soundproofing for the living room.

The noises from the bathroom would not bother me; it is not the main bathroom anyway.
