do such damaged bricks need to be replaced?

where would we end up if you later tear down the wallpaper and the plaster and see these damaged bricks?!

Sure, replace it. Please also build the entire wall afterwards in one piece from a single stone. I see that many small stones were used (like Lego). There are lots of gaps in between. *Irony off*

yes, I completely agree because of the cracks, the house will definitely collapse if you just lean against the wall for a moment. Immediately call the building inspection authority and complain
