Hello! We need to choose the flooring for our new apartment (approx. 100 sqm). We are thinking of porcelain stoneware with a wood look for all rooms. We are using a 2 cm dry construction underfloor heating, hence this choice (fast heat transfer, tiles warm up quickly). What should we pay attention to? Thickness, abrasion, ... Which properties are the most important? And which are the good, recommended brands? Thank you Paul

There are no recommendable brands or manufacturers. It’s about appearance and price. Ask how often a design (a tile) is contained in a package. If the pattern repeats constantly, that’s annoying. Unfortunately, price usually decides here, the higher the price, the more different (the patterns). Mostly. For abrasion classes, just ask what is suitable for living areas. You can then also use these for the bathroom. Abrasion class 1 is only suitable for bathrooms and the like, in my opinion not suitable for the hall. With 2 or 3 you’re probably on the safe side.

On drywall (Fermacell????), the tiles must not be larger than 30x30cm.

There are decoupling mats for that, then it also works with the large tiles
