A building gap in a terraced house? Are there proper exterior walls between each terraced house? Sorry, I don’t understand.

OK another try. Is it about a terraced house or a detached house? Terraced houses are connected, have only interior walls between the units, and a shared roof.

That is not so hard to understand. There are 2 houses, with a gap between them. This is now closed with a DANN terraced mid-terrace house and the others are no longer detached but end-terraced houses.

That's exactly what I can't imagine. I know it as a terraced house being built completely and not just a house "squeezed" between two others. Is the brick facade then removed from the existing house or does it stay on?

Thanks horoz for the picture. I really hadn't seen it that way before.
