Hello,

So you want to have a controlled residential ventilation system with heat recovery installed. Basically, I don’t think the architect’s idea is that bad; especially if he has little experience with a ventilation system. The problem for you will be that MEP hasn’t really established itself yet for classic single-family home construction and will therefore be disproportionately expensive.

You don’t have this problem at all right now because the MEP planner will be sitting at the computer running their programs. They don’t care at all whether you have finally decided on an electrical or plumbing company. For them, it’s only important to know so far that you want to have a controlled residential ventilation system installed.

Edit:

Of course, you can also have the system builder (final supplier of the ventilation system) create the ventilation plan.

Best regards from the Rhineland

So if I understand this correctly, I either have to pay for another planner or look for the final system integrator now. Neither is particularly nice for me.

Hello,

Building a house costs money and requires decisions. I don’t really understand your problem now? When you buy a car, you also can’t only announce the color of the car seats at the "wedding." At that time, they are already in stock.

If you feel unable to specify the provider for the ventilation system now, then tell your architect to have her structural engineer calculate with average values. That shouldn’t be terribly problematic with a controlled residential ventilation system; unless the structural engineer is a beginner.

Rhenish greetings

That is a good idea.
Thank you!

We had the plans for the controlled residential ventilation drawn up only after the building application/statics by the heating installer. Our architect usually works with the heating contractor we chose and therefore may have had some experience. I would not have wanted to commission a TGA either. If so, then directly the corresponding executing company.
