Where should Grandma live? What if Grandma can't climb stairs or needs a walker?

I find separate toilets more than suboptimal with small children. Especially since there is a second full bathroom on the upper floor.

Utility room very small. Sink for hand washing is missing.

Closet space not usable like this. The upper floor feels like Tetris.

Stairs should be bright enough.

I am quite surprised ... why not, haydee?

two rows of cupboards and then the passage is very narrow. Especially the entrance area which is accessed with laundry baskets. There remain 90 cm - the space the door needs. Or do I have a distortion in my perception?

The gauntlet between the cabinet rows should indeed be attempted to be solved more elegantly.

Hello,
I would now identify the office upstairs and the associated bathroom as the "grandma area".
It has no steps at the entrance, has its own bathroom ...
The 3 steps to the private area (bedroom/children's rooms) are probably meant to be the "grandma protection" of this area, or at least a certain spatial separation. If the separation of office/guest room from private rooms is an important criterion, I don't find the solution that bad.

well, room width 230 cm ... maybe 220 cm if the walls are adjusted, there I would place the 4m at the top of the plan with 60 cm deep cabinet carcasses, on the left side of the plan from the bedroom door the 2m as well. With doors, there will actually be a good 90 cm left there. In the entrance area then almost 3m of dressers with 40 cm depth. That should actually provide enough space and storage.
