I have a similar problem: My wife really wants a gable roof with a low knee wall because she likes it so much. Unfortunately, I don't think much of it because, in my eyes, it's just wasted space; moreover, she wants a visible roof truss --> room heights of 4.5 m. The development plan allows gable roofs with 28°-38°, 2 full floors, as well as a wall height of 6.00 m; shed roofs, staggered shed roofs, and hipped roofs would also be allowed, so basically quite a lot is possible if you had a wife who cooperated. Now I at least got my wife so far that we are planning a fairly high knee wall, we were thinking about 1.40 - 1.50 m. The problem is: I can't fit normal windows or (decent) roof windows in, and I also don't want both long sides full of dormers. What would be the most sensible under the given circumstances, to go for a low knee wall to be able to install roof windows after all? Best regards, Sebastian
