Placement of the house and carport on the property

Otherwise, just go there at different times of the day, but keep in mind that the current winter sun is different from the summer sun.

There is no perfect solution. You have to consider what is important TO YOU. If you place it right by the street and then put the rooms behind it where it doesn’t bother, from my point of view, you could come up with a good solution. I would almost exclusively design the garden in the east facing the meadow. Otherwise, really keep going back and checking where you have sun and shade.
