Hello everyone,

we want to submit the building application soon. It is about an extension/conversion of a detached single-family house. Both forms are permitted according to the development plan. The shed roof will cause about 4000 EUR in additional costs. The pitch of the gable roof could still be increased to 32 degrees.
Which roof shape would you prefer? Is it purely a matter of taste? Or are there also points regarding quality etc. that should be considered.
We are also unsure about the cladding. Generally, white bossed with anthracite windows and blue-brown "purple" with white windows are possible. Do you think white bossed does not fit a modern shape like the shed roof? Is white bossed more sensitive than a rather dark, smooth stone?

I am interested in both your tastes and objective reasons for one or the other version in combination with the respective colors.

Should it become [Abstellboden] or living space?

If I had the choice (and 4000 € left over) I would choose the shed roof. You simply get more light into the attic.

So if [Pult], then with skylights. Otherwise, you can save the 4000.
