Hello everyone,
I hope I am in the right thread here...
I might possibly have the opportunity to add an additional 1.5 stories to my father's bungalow (about 210 sqm).
I went to the building authority to generally clarify if this is possible at all, which turned out to be no problem whatsoever.
Afterwards, I visited a few prefab house manufacturers who offer exactly that and got a rough cost estimate. The average price came out to €310,000. Is that realistic? I had personally expected around €300,000...
Another problem that could arise is the bungalow itself, as it used to be a shop in earlier times. Unfortunately, the huge basement area (about 500-600 sqm) was never included in the building plans. What problems could this bring (the structural engineering would of course have to be checked by a structural engineer)? Can this be approved retroactively by the building authority? If so, what additional costs would we have to expect?
Thank you very much in advance & best regards
