Does a little weed really bring that much? The bigger gains are probably to be expected if you make the terrace one meter shorter ;)

By the way, your terrace is making me think whether that might be an option for us too. New bricks are rather expensive and hard to get in the south, but sometimes you can find some at reasonable prices from demolition houses. Does anyone know if there is anything to consider for paths and terraces or can you just use any old bricks for paving? I’d rather exclude the driveway because of car traffic. But do these old bricks survive if you go over them with a vibrating plate?

These are your thoughts when you read that greening is not wrong? Holy moly. ;)

With greenery in joints etc., I only have concerns that it can become slippery quickly? Or is that less of a problem with the structure? Otherwise, you just have to be careful that it doesn't grow too big and strong. At my parents' place, a bush planted itself on a temporarily unused terrace within a year, which then started to shift the slabs ;) (But with a used terrace, you would probably notice that) Nature sometimes asserts itself faster than you think. Unfortunately, I don't have a photo on hand right now (I could ask if they still have one)

Great! For various reasons, we haven't been able to remove the weeds from the joints at the curb for 6 weeks. I'll just tell the nagging neighbor that I'm contributing to a better microclimate and that he is disturbing my plan with his joint mortar :)

heard live in conversation just yesterday: if everything between the lines is white, then there is nothing written! Why do men/women always want to interpret something into other things? If someone has something to say, they should say it. Clearly and distinctly, not possibly "between the lines" My brain at least does not have a fortune-telling or clairvoyant function built in :(. Maybe it will come in Burkhard 2.0? :D P.S. Nevertheless, I partly agree with you that unfortunately we already have somewhat aligned media. And there is still room for improvement in the democracy index.
