Hello everyone,

does anyone have experience with the Meister Lindura wooden floor of the newer generation HD 400? Is the floor recommendable or would you advise against it?

We are considering installing this floor in our new build.

Thank you in advance for your answers.

Dominik

We had the same idea 1 year ago, back then it was still the previous model. There are great widths, but I couldn't find anything written anywhere. A friend of mine works in the sawmill and he is enthusiastic, or rather, he hasn't received any negative feedback. Now with the new house, we will ask ourselves the same question again, this time with model HD400. Meister is a great company and I can't imagine it's rubbish. What was written said that the floor is very robust but on the other hand it explicitly says that you should use coasters under chairs....... well, you do that anyway, otherwise you ruin every floor. We then decided on Meister but for parquet ..200 I think in second choice. There are 160 sqm here and I could take exactly that again. For me, it's first choice, technically anyway, and visually there is almost no waste. The price was €25.-- gross! We laid it floating on underfloor heating and I will do the same again. It only squeaks in a very few spots occasionally, but worst case I can also replace a piece once. So for me, it is an option then, but in second choice for so many sqm. Regarding quality, I would have no concerns; it looks great anyway.

I can only advise against the Lindura floor! We had 250 square meters installed in our house, and after one year the floor looks terrible! The top layer is coming off, there are countless scratches on the floor, and in some places branches have broken out. From the beginning, we used the recommended oils/cleaning agents, took off our shoes immediately in the hallway, etc., and yet the floor looks extremely worn and old. The expert from the Meister company was rude and claimed, among other things in a letter, that we had not used a doormat, although there were two mats in the hallway when he came for the appointment... the broken-out branches are supposed to have been caused by our son (14 years old) with force, etc.! We are very dissatisfied and upset and are considering taking legal action. The advertising promise does not apply at all! We regret not having chosen parquet. In my husband’s practice, there is a 90-year-old parquet floor (heritage protected), which looks great, although 100 people walk in every day! Our Lindura floor, in contrast, just looks awful!!!! Absolutely no purchase recommendation. We were especially promised the durability of the floor, which is not present in any way. I can only warn everyone against this floor!!!!

That really sounds awful. Especially after only one year. Do you happen to have any pictures that you can/share? So far, I have only heard positive things about the floor in every specialist shop. But such a report of experience certainly makes one think... Thank you very much in any case for your contribution

I hope the damages can be seen. I find it especially incredible that the company Meister does not care about it at all. Best regards
