Hello everyone,

we are planning a 3-glass-pane wood stove as an extension of a partition wall for our renovation – basically as a room divider.
So far, we have an offer of just under €14,000 with a Hoxter UKA56 fireplace insert, with a negative pressure monitor, etc.

My question: Isn't there a cheaper option? Is it even worth getting several offers?
I know you should always do that, but it is always associated with a lot of time, etc.
The question is, what can you really "save" here?

Thanks for your information

We have a Spartherm U70, awesome piece, I can recommend it. Price depends on many factors. Design, material fire table, storage stones etc etc

A brick chimney is not a stove and is therefore significantly more expensive. However, there are kits with which you can build the masonry yourself.

Where does it say that?

€14,000 is too expensive in my opinion. €10,000 would be my price limit - but not "masonry," rather drywall construction. That would then be "just" placing the fireplace insert on the floor, drywall around it (preferably with shelves or lighting) and connecting it.

P.S. Does the offer also include a chimney or will an existing flue be used?
