Painting work costs - price ok?

That should be no problem now. I would also extend the radius of potential companies to >50km in order to possibly compare higher regional prices.

Surely depends on where you live. I haven’t gotten to the painter yet, but I just contacted 10 companies for another trade and received 10 rejections due to fully booked schedules, unless you have a year to wait.

so 3800€ for painting the whole house etc. is already a reasonable price. but be sure to clarify beforehand which paint they use and which wallpapers etc.. and of course which services are included. for example, proper sanding beforehand is necessary anyway. with us, it was not sanded properly and in places where no new wallpaper will be put up in 20 years (hallway stairwell paintable continuous wallpaper in front of stair installation), there are now bumps visible behind it in the stair area. really a big show and real botch job. doesn’t help now, the train has left the station.
