Paint plaster or wallpaper?

we are currently finishing our house. In our new building, which has now taken 6 months, gypsum plaster Q2 was applied to the walls.

What is better in a new building that has not yet been "frozen," filling and painting or rather painter's fleece and then painting?

we are currently dealing with a similar question, but only regarding the ceilings. Q2 is actually only suitable for Raufasertape or a paint plaster. If you only want to paint, you could have had Q3 or 4 done by the plasterer instead of Q2....

I don't know if we only had a good Q2, but we simply painted and the result was great. We put up [Malervlies] in the living room and painted over it. We saved ourselves that in the other rooms. The only thing I find is that the gypsum plaster is very impact-sensitive without [Malervlies]. The impressions are even more noticeable on such smooth walls.

I had the surcharge for better quality Q3 charged to me. It was around 8000 euros. I found the price a bit excessive...

That depends on the size of the house. How many square meters is it?

We had the same experiences with Q2 as : the painted walls look good, but after moving furniture there was always some spackling to be done. It might also be a matter of taste and style: we have a slightly industrial style, for a cozy country house style you should work with fleece.
