Good morning Yvonne,

Doesn't the paint automatically get wiped off the wall with each use then?

Rhenish greetings

With painted wallpaper, this can happen; with painted plaster, it cannot.

No, I haven’t experienced that so far – and I only have colored walls. But I must admit that I had forgotten about this eraser sponge for a long time; only now a colleague recommended it to me.
It consists of foamed melamine resin, is moistened, and disintegrates during cleaning, becoming crumbly and must then be replaced.
So far, I have successfully used it on the stairway walls, for removing residual insects, as well as on the parquet for removing scuff marks.
However, it is said to have drawbacks, which can be read about on the stain removal page when you google Schmutzradierer.

Regards, Yvonne

How long have you been living in the house? We keep hearing that painting directly without a painting fleece can later lead to cracks becoming visible quite quickly.

Yes, that's true. You can see the settling cracks. But I prefer to see them and keep them under control rather than cover them up and not notice them. Those who are bothered by these cracks should rather wallpaper.
