So the plumbing company seriously has a valve installer and only after that comes another who only lays pipes to the valves he finds???

Yes, the fitting outside was installed long before the other work... well, the company itself called today and tried to mediate and said that they wanted to come out of the right wall to the carport... I just asked if we would get compensation if we agreed to the compromise. He then suggested that if we signed a maintenance contract with him, the first maintenance would be free... :) but since we don't want to have the company here again, I politely declined and called the site manager... now we are getting the faucet moved to the back, branched off from the kitchen connection at the sink... including an extra meter. The original fitting will of course be removed and new cladding will be installed and re-grouted... well, at least the faucet is roughly where it should be again...

I would go for that. An outdoor faucet is only roughly determined. Sometimes it is exactly in the right spot, other times you need the hose a little, sometimes even many meters of hose. One more tip, install the Garantia Regendieb in a downpipe and let it drain into a nice rain barrel. This way you have a lot of water outside for free, for watering flowers and more. Two faucets are also good. I have one on the terrace in the south, one in the east in front of the garage, so you can comfortably soap up and wash the car. There is no outdoor faucet in the west, but in the utility room in the west there is a sink with a faucet close to the door, where you can quickly fill a bucket without having to walk through the house with dirty shoes.

I would never put something like that in front of my new house!
My parents-in-law also keep insisting on setting something like that up...
When it rains little, you have the nasty water standing there with 1000 mosquitoes and flies. No thanks

There are models with a lid on top and a tap at the bottom. No flies, but perfect, soft, free water for plants

I know. Last summer I removed the lid at my in-laws'. Discovered thousands of mosquito larvae. You can only put something like that away from the house, otherwise you have the bugs inside the house and around the terrace.
