Is LAN also available or does it have to run over WLAN?

It has to run over WLAN. Unfortunately, only a power cable, no LAN cables.

What are the recordings saved on? And how can you hide an area?

You should also mention that it's not just about the cameras, but that you also need the Unifi Protect infrastructure.

On a suitable recorder (NVR). Either from the manufacturer of the cameras, if the whole thing can or should remain an isolated system, or (better) on a NAS. Synology devices with the Surveillance Station software work excellently here and that's also where the hiding of zones takes place. Recording on some kind of memory cards in the cameras is really bad.

Wi-Fi is just not good, but if planning wasn't careful, it has to do. Do you at least have a socket in the wall there or are the cables just hanging out?

Have you checked whether you have proper Wi-Fi performance at those outdoor locations at all?

What do we need at Reolink if we only have WLAN?
Which cameras?
Which hard drive storage?
Do we then need any other components?

There are many cameras at Reolink, just take a look at the website to see what you need. As far as I have seen, the NVRs can also do WiFi, but there are surely overviews of what is compatible with what. Have you only just started dealing with cameras now or is there another reason why PoE was not chosen? You should definitely test the WiFi reception at the desired spots to see if it is sufficient.

Our electrician told us that Wi-Fi is sufficient. Unfortunately, we cannot test anything at the moment. The meter cabinet is not yet operational.
