Hello dear people!

I'm digging up the old thread again because we have the same question.
Roll roofing or aluminum benches!?

In principle, I would choose roll roofing for aesthetic reasons.
Apart from the additional costs (20 EUR/m), I read in this context that it is very often not executed 100% correctly and water ingress leads to damage...

Technical execution is probably easier and better achievable with aluminum (water tightness), but I somehow can't really get used to the look :(

Hm. Are there any other pros and cons? :)

Many thanks and best regards

You can't really speculate about aesthetics without having your house in front of you. In my opinion, rolled layer clearly requires a trained bricklayer rather than a bricklaying assistant. Aluminum always fits; you don't have to use it pure brushed.

Thanks for your opinion! I myself only have my house in mind on the drawing, so it's hard for me to speculate as well ;) In a few weeks I hopefully will know/see more and will have to make a decision. Ultimately probably based on gut feeling and depending on the color combination (windows/bricks) or the cost difference.

:) I speculate that one cannot make such a decision well based on drawings, right? At least I can't manage it :)
