With a distance of more than 15cm between the shells, special approved anchors must be used to my knowledge. That is why we only have 14cm + 1cm finger gap.

Anchors are generally known as common in facing shells, but this may vary depending on the support and how mandatory they are required. If you meant the fixation of the glass wool: there will probably be plate dowels, since it is difficult to glue it.

Just measured again, it's 16cm of glass wool, 2cm of air, then the facing bricks.

According to DIN, anchors are always required unless other devices for connection are present, correct. Regardless of the distance between the shells. However, for distances over 15cm, special anchors with a building authority approval for the application case are required. No wire anchors. I do not know the exact details, I have only seen the variant used with us with 14cm insulation and 1cm air so far.
