Order of the trades - what were your target and actual?

There are already several threads here with questions about the construction processes, as well as reports from "finished" builders who show their calculations.

Now I would be interested to know what the planned sequences were with you, and what reality made of them: for example, when construction start dates are postponed, sometimes the third craftsman can still go along with it but the fourth cannot, then a gap arises in the process; for the fifth you even have to look for a replacement, but the sixth can already come before the fifth...

Several "finished" builders have already presented their price calculations here and also pointed out the deviations, now I would like to see such comparisons for the time calculations.

Please also indicate how the building was done: e.g. "general contractor, but with intermittent individual contracts or own work trades".

Everything is going absolutely according to plan with us, even a little faster. We started construction on 17.05, and today the screed arrived. We had received a schedule that allocated specific times to the various trades. Some came earlier, some a few days later, but all finished within their allotted time. Sometimes they didn't come in the exact order either. For example, the drywall installers came before the screed and installed the profiles. It depended on when the craftsmen had time. Because of this, the second layer of [Außenputz] will come a little later than planned, but that hardly matters since nothing urgent follows (I could have already started with the exterior framing if that had been finished).

We are building with [GU]. Only the tiling is contracted out individually. I wouldn’t have dared to do anything else at the moment; otherwise, it surely wouldn’t have worked within 5 months.

That's exactly the kind of thing I'm interested in - preferably so that it becomes clear either from the timings (e.g. tile layer scheduled for weeks 28 to 30, actual weeks 29 to 34) or from the sequences (e.g. plasterer and bricklayer scheduled simultaneously, actually bricklayer two weeks after plasterer) how the planning was and how reality did not stick to it ;-)
Thanks for the first response!

I can’t say that exactly. I didn’t write down when who was there. I just look at the schedule and see when the next person should come. Or I’m surprised if someone is working on the construction site whom I didn’t expect yet. But overall, I only care that everyone stays on schedule. And that I find out beforehand when the trades come with whom I want to discuss something.

Exactly. And if you scribble behind it "only came on the seventeenth" or draw an arrow showing that the sixth came before the fourth: that’s what I mean, and I find it useful for other home builders.

Then you should have given that tip earlier, now it’s too late.
