Optimal walkway width in the garden

It depends on what you want to do there. For the path from the driveway to the house, we decided on 8 stones (Klinker NF), so just under 1 meter, and this spring we will extend that to the garden house in about the same width. That is easily enough for a wheelbarrow, the single-seater bike trailer is almost that wide and the two-seater is definitely too wide. You need a little more for curves. For a pure footpath, however, 40 cm is sufficient.

The garden house is used only as a tool shed to store garden tools, bicycles, etc.

The garden house is located directly on the property boundary at the fence. The walkway will then be laid from the terrace to the garden house.

The question is only what width is optimal.

The walkway should also directly serve as a mowing edge where the lawn mower robot would otherwise have problems mowing right next to the fence.

We have a double rod mesh fence with privacy strips and in winter there is permanent shade directly at the fence because of the fence.

Well, if you want to push the bicycles along there, it should probably be at least 80 cm – or what were you thinking?

I would consider 80 cm as the minimum

I am still in favor of the stepping stones in the lawn. The lawn also withstands daily bicycle pushing.
