Hello everyone,

we are currently in the middle of house planning. We have already eagerly started with the kitchen planning. So far, the attached plan has been created. From our current perspective, it fits quite well, but maybe we are overlooking something?
We are still uncertain about the following points:
Kitchen planning:
- Is a kitchen aisle distance of 1.4m okay or too much?
- Kitchen flush with the "bay window"?! - Does that press into the room?
- Dishwasher not elevated, as no sensible solution has been found so far

Lighting planning:
- Since we have an upper cabinet, the arrangement of ceiling spots is difficult. We would install lighting under the upper cabinet. The other lights are distributed over the countertops or in the hallway.

We look forward to suggestions, ideas, and hints!

Regards, Alex

1.4 m distance is a bit much. However, if you want this shape (U), it will be tighter and cannot be smaller. Otherwise, you won’t have any space left for the sink.
Do you really want 2 hotplates? They are expensive and impractical to use. Google "Warum tote Ecken gute Ecken sind" for some inspiration.
I would install a 2-row unit. The tall cabinet wall with top cabinet (Google "Ullaschrank") is good (I haven’t looked closely at the exact layout).
I don’t like the single wall cabinet. It looks very lonely.
As the faucet is drawn now, you won’t be able to open the window.
Does the house view allow moving or widening the window at the top (first picture of the kitchen) above the long countertop?
Does the countertop not continue into the window as a windowsill? The countertop is raised somewhat as a backsplash and the window starts above that? I don’t personally like that either.

Kitchen lighting is always installed above the front edge of the countertop. So, where the belly touches. Further back --> shadows, further forward --> reflections.
