We have just completed the handover of our construction with a Hamburg "Bauträger". If my wife hadn’t been running around the construction site weekly, the construction in the Sondereigentum would have completely fallen apart: incorrect tile backsplashes, wrong fittings, forgotten window outlets, and so on and so forth. For the handover of the Sondereigentum, we hired an expensive expert (he wrote the book about handover), and he was worth every euro. He sees things that a layperson simply doesn’t see. For the handover of the Gemeinschaftseigentum, we commissioned the same expert for the WEG, with the same result. I would NEVER buy from a Bauträger again and NEVER accept handover without an expert. It’s a professional (Bauträger) against laypeople (buyers).
