Hello,

is there basically any objection to planning the bathroom door in the 1.5-story building, that is in the attic, to open outwards (into the hallway)?

Currently as shown in the drawing. But behind the opened door - the thought now - there should be a glass wall on the shower element. Therefore, one would have to position a doorstopper in front of the shower element. Or as mentioned above, possibly open the door outwards, but then in the opposite direction. So handle on the right, when standing outside in front of it, instead of on the left as it is now.

Thanks for feedback.

I don't find door stoppers or buffers bad. A door opening into the hallway (except perhaps if it opens at 90 degrees against a wall and is never in the way), on the other hand, is an emergency solution and not suitable for a new building.

Yes, I agree with your thought. Below is the sloping roof, so there’s nothing where the door would be in the way.

Yes... for me, there is nothing against a door that opens onto the shower wall. Therefore, I would not want to deviate from the standard variant.

Nonsense, why a makeshift solution. Whatever fits better. Our bathroom door also opens outwards, and not out of necessity but because it is more practical that way. It neither restricts us, nor do we get annoyed, nor has any visitor ever wondered about it or mentioned it. For us, however, the door then opens 90° outside in front of a wall, meaning it is not in the way.

I have expressed my personal opinion. Why is that nonsense?

By the way, I wrote that I would probably do it with a door opening at a 90-degree angle to a wall.

Ultimately, it is a matter of taste. I really only know it as an emergency solution, in the 1.8 sqm guest WC or 6 sqm main bathroom...
