It's nice when lurkers finally come out of hiding if they can help a bit.

For that, you would need to provide a contact option—preferably visible as in my profile under "Information"—because private messages cannot be sent or received here by newbies.

Many thanks again for the answers.

We have now talked a lot with acquaintances, browsed the internet, and will proceed like this. We are aware that this will be a lot of work and that afterwards we probably won’t even know if we really saved anything. But the idea of having built it ourselves afterwards and having invested a lot of effort and work meaningfully into our own project appeals to us more than simply having a finished house "without worries" put up for us.

The static calculations will be handled directly by the usual structural engineer working with the kit partner. The house drawing by me is only based on the old basement. We didn’t have much leeway for special constructions here or rather the ground floor is basically almost the same as before. I think with good coordination between architect and structural engineer it will work out.

This Euromac thing reads horribly :(

: I would very much like to exchange ideas with you about this, I would be very happy :)

I would really like to keep a construction diary here in the forum. Is there a corresponding category here? I am currently on the go and it’s difficult to search for that.

Greetings :)

Who do you mean by "architect" if the drawing is yours?

Well then take a look: has already implemented my suggestion, you can do that too.

I would be interested in reading that.
Have you already started it?

The construction diary is to be kept by .
Honestly, I don’t want to do it right now. We are still in the middle of construction and are still expecting services from our construction partner, and I don’t want to write anything wrong. Several things have happened to us that were very stressful; for some of these, the construction partner is only partly to blame, and some issues were also our fault afterwards because we relied on oral agreements and communication within the construction partner did not work. Overall, at times we are simply still a bit too emotionally involved.
We do a lot ourselves and also take care of awarding all trades completely on our own, partially not planned this way in advance. But I am diligently collecting and would like to present the entire project in retrospect after completion, when I have some free time. If even one person avoids a mistake I made because of that, it would have served its purpose.

Sorry, that was a quoting error, the quote line was missing.
