Yes, that's how we feel too. Completely ripped off. How do you know the prices? Did you build with Town & Country yourself? 6,000€ plus 2,000€ for the basement... I could just puke!!!!

The problem is that unfortunately you are tied to the construction company and they can really do anything to us.

We are currently planning with a Town & Country partner. But he is very transparent, that’s just the problem with the franchisers. Some are like this, others are like that.

And so far, everything has always been explained to us very fairly and transparently.

I'm glad to hear that! And that's how it should actually be. We also thought that our partner was "relatively" fair. Well, now I have doubts. Especially since there is also a difference between sales and management. If you are currently in contact with your partner, could you possibly ask again about the windows? It would help us a lot. Like the surcharge from normal to floor-to-ceiling!

I am sure the additional cost for decentralized ventilation compared to centralized is actually quite low if it is a "proper" decentralized ventilation with heat recovery etc. Because for a single-family house you need at least 8 to 10 decentralized units each with wiring, wall breaks etc, the centralized controlled residential ventilation itself is also not that expensive in comparison, but laying the pipes through the house etc costs. The difference is likely!! well under 10,000 euros.

from on the go

The additional cost of our windows was around €1,000 depending on the size. However, this also included the electric blinds (Anthracite), guide rails (Anthracite), and windows in Anthracite. The guide rails alone already amounted to a few hundred euros per running meter. Does the additional cost possibly arise from this, or are the costs for the blinds & guide rails added separately?

We want to talk to the construction company again tomorrow and ask exactly how the window price is composed. We also have windows in anthracite and normally shutters are included. Actually, everything is electric. Venetian blinds are not yet included; the costs depending on the size of the windows are an additional approx. €350 - €1,200 surcharge.
