That's right! You're correct. Nevertheless, it was signed, and accordingly the construction company demands it before starting the construction. It was/is the same with us... The bank then only sent the duplicate to us, so our company pressured us 2 days before the start of construction, asking where the financing confirmation was... otherwise, they simply wouldn't start.

Hello,

Did you arrange your financing via the internet or a personal bank advisor?

You have signed a contract; it can only be terminated under very narrow conditions. Check the fine print of your contracts; the conditions are explained there.

Threatening is also not very effective, because you still need the remaining disbursement of the loan at certain times. If there are delays in the future, you shouldn’t wonder what the cause might be...

What you "should" do instead is the following: demand that the financing bank promptly signs the form—pointing out that otherwise your general contractor will not begin construction (attach a copy of your general contractor’s letter). Furthermore, inform them that you "could" suffer economic damage from this => construction delays, commitment interest, extended rental period, etc. <= and that you "would" hold the bank 100% liable for such damages under the loan agreement dated xxxx if they occur.

Rhine greetings

Exactly the same thing happened to us: one signature, almost 3 months waiting time. The first 6 weeks you accept. Then a call: colleague on vacation, will be back in 2 weeks... well, we wait. Then the colleague no longer works on your case, please contact colleague 2. (The bank rotates the caseworkers) Colleague 2 doesn't get back for another 2 weeks. After 2 weeks... "I actually sent it"... well, waited another week... We financed through a financing service provider who has taken care of everything for us so far. Solution in the end. Went to the bank together, and made a fuss for 2 hours until someone was able to sign the stupid thing. They partly had no authority, partly no knowledge about my concern, or lunch break... So go to your bank, and don't leave until you have a signature.

Thank you for your answers. Indeed, we accepted the first 6 weeks as they were. Banks and authorities just always need a bit more time. We have a personal advisor. But he was never there. At the beginning, he promised us that everything would be handled unbureaucratically and that we would only need to send an email when something was happening. Well, once again, something learned. It wasn't as if we were never on site. By the way, our personal letter with the threat of a lawyer has borne fruit. This morning, we received a call that the form will now be sent out. Additionally, I was supposed to come by to pick up a copy. And last but not least; the terms and conditions also state that the bank must be liable for damage, such as in the case of a missed payment.
