Hello everyone,
I want to replace the windows of my house and install triple-glazed windows. I have offers for the following windows:
a) Rehau Synego 80mm AD
b) Salamander Bluevolution 82mm MD
c) ALUPLAST Ideal 8000 85mm MD
One window manufacturer advertised with V-Perfect technology (Aluplast windows). Is this state of the art and the others just didn’t mention it, or is it really something special?
From my perspective, all windows sound quite similar, but maybe someone knows particular advantages or disadvantages of the models. All the windows have profiles with a recycled content of over 55%. Therefore, they are subsidized by our municipality.
From what I have read here and elsewhere so far, installation apparently is even more important than the window itself. Each provider has written something different regarding this, so I am uncertain which installation method is correct. Our windows all have roller shutters, and the house exterior is insulated with 6cm thermal insulation and plastered.
One provider offered to seal the windows on the outside, but that seems wrong to me. Most offered compressible tape on the outside, sealing and lining on the inside, and foam filling. If I understood everything correctly here, that would also be the right installation method, right? The compressible tape should then be applied on the sides and top, correct? How must the sealing of the interior side be done? And are exterior trim strips useful? These were partly offered as optional.
One window manufacturer advertised production according to RAL, but nothing about RAL was mentioned regarding installation.
I will definitely ask all providers again whether the installation is done by their own staff or by subcontractors.
Thanks in advance for your support!
Thomas
