Hello, I want to build next year. It is a single-family house including a double garage with a hipped roof. Basement and ground floor on a slope, no upper floor. Gas connection is available. What are the advantages and disadvantages compared to heating with a heat pump? Will I still receive funding via Kfw55 with a gas heating system? Thank you very much in advance for your answers.

Hello,

my recommendation: Get a gas heating system. The technology is proven, quieter, and not more expensive in operating costs. Whether you can achieve KFW 55 with it, I don't know, but it should be possible.

Which heat pump? How are the acquisition costs compared to gas? Underfloor heating or radiators?

A few pieces of information would surely be helpful.

in addition to the points raised by markus2703, I would like to add the following:

First of all, it is important to determine the heat demand for heating and hot water. Furthermore, aspects such as the type of heat distribution (underfloor heating or radiators) and other components of the system technology (ventilation system, ...) need to be considered.

Gas condensing technology is a proven and efficient method of heat generation. The efficiency of a heat pump in general decreases with increasing temperature difference between the source and the heat sink, which certainly needs to be taken into account with a higher hot water demand.
