Does anyone know about door frames and doors?
I have steel frames in my apartment that lead under the screed. Removing them turned out to be only somewhat good for two doors that had to be removed anyway.
Only the appearance bothers me about the old steel frames; the rest is basically completely okay.
Now I have read that there are also frames to slip over. So a purely aesthetic matter that covers the old steel frame and then achieves a modern look.
On average, you probably have to expect up to 70mm loss in width and about 35mm loss in height.
I can accept the loss in height. 7cm in width is already relatively a lot.
Has anyone installed such renovation frames before and can say something about them?
How they hold up over a longer period of time, whether the loss in width is worth it or not, etc.?
