Sure... if Telekom and Deutsche Glasfaser each secure the monopoly on the line in the next few years, you can always jump back and forth between the two every 2 years and save money.

I'm still somehow waiting for arguments in favor of the 16Mbit Telekom line...
For some people it's a "totally clear thing" to take it in addition.
But it reminds me of the advice in another thread to definitely install at least one coaxial socket per room in new buildings..

I basically agree with moHouse. I may have just missed when the fiber optic connection will actually be installed or whether the date is undisputed. That often gets postponed by some time. However, if the fiber optic connection is being expanded at the same time, I would also skip the copper line. The 700 EUR can certainly be invested better.

No one will be able to tell you that. We have been living in the new development for three months already; everything was already finished. However, one component was still missing in the Telekom exchange, which left us without a connection for three months. Of course, you can never be protected from something like that in advance.

It is by no means certain that the fiber optic connection will not also be able to be used by Telekom. Equal rights for all.
