New construction costs - Is the financing in order? Experiences?

Exciting discussions that have found their way here in the thread. I would like to give you some feedback: We have decided for ourselves not to buy either the smaller or the larger property for the time being. The reasons are relatively simple and quickly explained: Geographically, due to the work situation, it didn’t fit after longer consideration and we would have to make too many compromises and sacrifices (possibility of adding a carport, size of the plot, interior features (partly predetermined), ...) – with total costs of almost 650,000-700,000 euros, depending on the house size (and that doesn’t include the second car) we no longer saw this as reasonable.

Therefore, the topic of buying a house has been settled for now. We are still on interested parties’ lists for new development areas in some municipalities. Let’s see how this branch of property acquisition develops. Maybe another opportunity will come up. If that happens, I will gladly reactivate this thread.
