New construction basement + underground garage, we build for the best protection against water

Hello dear house building forum,

I am currently in the planning phase of a single-family house on a hillside with a basement and underground garage. My concerns are that especially in winter, a lot of moisture gets into the garage from snow stuck on the cars. Is it possible to plan something useful against this in advance? My architect is also unsure and suggested possibly a minimal slope of the ground towards the garage door to allow water to drain off. Do you perhaps have a few pieces of advice regarding this?

Before you drive into the garage, you should simply take a hand broom and remove most of the snow from the car. This way, there won't be as much water that you bring into the garage. Whether a slope is necessary probably also depends on the floor. If it can absorb moisture, the small amount that lands on the floor will simply be absorbed. With a sealed floor, a slope is certainly not a bad idea.
