Hello,

we built a prefabricated house with Bien-Zenker, that is, timber frame construction. Now we have a painter with whom we are no longer satisfied at all. At first, everything was great and he always said "we'll manage, no problem," and now we have the problems.

Before, everyone told us we should definitely use painter's fleece and silicate paint. We requested this from several painting companies and all of them offered it that way. Now that everything is finished, the executing painting company said that the whole organic stuff was no good and that's why the result is not so good. He blames the paint.

Specifically, you can see, for example, the strips where it was rolled along. There are clumps in the paint everywhere and the texture on the fleece is also very rough. The worst thing is that in some rooms you can see the panel joints of the Knauf Hardboard through the wallpaper.

The following products were used:

- conpart Groundvlies Plus 4090
- Conpart Wandfüller 1024
- Conpart Vlieskleber 1031
- Conpart Silikat Konzentrat LF 1001
- Conpart Bio Innensilikat Elf 3060

The walls are Knauf Hardboard.

Does all this fit together? Or where could the mistake lie?

can you upload a photo once? Preferably a macro shot.

The painting contractors are kind of strange. I recently had the same discussion about unevenness. They also said, "You don't light walls at an angle with a floodlight anymore!" I still insisted that the wall be redone - and now it turned out very well! So: if it already bothers you now and you've certainly spent a lot of money, then stick with it and try to have the conversation. Did he pick out the paint?

If you want to touch up individual areas yourself, I can recommend painting over the "streaks" with a round brush and then "dabbing" the area, kind of like "working" the freshly painted surface with a hammer. This way you get paint where it was missing, and the dabbing blurs the texture so that the eye can no longer see patterns.
EDIT: DISCLAIMER: "At your own risk;)"
